 HTC Desire 300 Available now
3rd September 2013

The HTC Desire 300 is one of a pair of entry-level Android smartphones from HTC (along with the Desire 200), and it offers modest internal specifications along with a relatively large screen.

The display is a 4.3" 480 x 800 pixel panel, not big by today's standards but still pretty useful for most applications. On the back is a 5 megapixel camera capable of WVGA video capture plus a 0.3 megapixel one on the front. Inside is a 1GHz dual-core processor with a pretty measly 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage plus a microSD slot. In our opinion, 512MB is not enough for anything other than basic use, and you'll need to buy a memory card if you want to store a decent amount of data too.

This is a 3.5G capable phone with all the usual Android features, and it is quite a nice looking device in a generic-sort-of-HTC way. Inside is a 1650 mAh battery, and the Desire 300 weighs 120 grams. No word was given on pricing, but we don't expect the Desire 300 to be very expensive when it starts to hit retail channels from October onwards.
