Sony Ericsson K330
Discontinued 17th June 2008
Sony Ericsson appear to have shifted the "K-Series"
range of phones downmarket a little, to come up with
the entry-level K330 camera phone.
If you are used to other Sony Ericsson "Kamera"
phones being pretty good, then you are in for a shock
as the K330 comes with a very basic 0.3 megapixel camera
and a quite small 1.7" 128 x 160 pixel TFT display.
It comes with an FM radio and Bluetooth, but no multimedia
player and we don't even think that the K330 has GPRS.
In fact, the K330 follows on from the K320
announced back in 2006, and it doesn't add much to the
specification. We have to say, there's not much to commend
a low resolution camera phone in this day and age, even
in the "emerging markets" that the K330 is
aimed at, where we think that something like the new
J132 would be a better bet.
Still, it's probably going to be very inexpensive,
the display is at least a decent TFT panel despite the
smallish size, the K330 supports Bluetooth and talktime
is up to 7 hours which is good. It's also quite a smart
looking device, and the K330 only weighs 75 grams.
The K330 should be available during Q3 2008 in "Gold
on Black" and "Green on Black" colour
combinations.
