Samsung L770 (SGH-L770)
Discontinued 17th February 2008
Samsung aren't really short of slider
phones, and the sleek looking Samsung L770 adds yet
another device to their extensive and somewhat confusing
range of handsets.
The
L770 can be regarded as a straight upgrade to the L760,
this time injected with a little more speed and style.
The L760 was aimed at people who wanted to create blogs,
upload video clips to YouTube and share other content.
Although we know that the SGH-L770 does come
with a blogging application, Samsung have kept pretty
quiet about the rest of the L770's features.
This is an HSDPA capable phone with
a maximum download speed of 3.6 Mbps, it comes with
a 2.1" 240 x 320 pixel display, a fairly basic 2
megapixel primary camera and a secondary camera for
video calling. The Samsung L770 has microSD expandable
memory, an MP3 player, FM radio with RDS and a web browser.
There is USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity as well.
It's a pretty lightweight device for
a 3.5G phone at 91 grams and 102 x 48 x 14mm in size.
We expect to see the L770 available
sometime in July, but Samsung have not given any guidance
on price.. although we expect it to retail for about
£180 / €270 or so at launch.
