The "E" in these E-Series
phones from Samsung must stand for "Economy".
A set of four simple but smart looking candy bar phones,
these handsets are all dual-band GSM 900/1800 handsets
with Samsung's Mobile Tracker and SOS applications built
in.
The E1070 and E1100 are the simplest
of the bunch. The Samsung E1070 is a stylish
design, but it's about as basic as a colour phone can
get. The Samsung E1100 is a 70 gram device
with a 1.5" 128 x 128 pixel display, 7 hours talktime
and 20 days standby time, and it comes with an integrated
flashlight.

The next handset up in the range is
the Samsung E1125 which adds a two-tone design
and an FM radio. The Samsung E2100 (or E2100V)
is a considerable step up with a larger screen, Bluetooth
and a basic digital camera capable of recording video
shots.

Samsung have plenty of low end phones
in their range already, so it's hard to see why they
need to make even more. Still, these devices are likely
to be very inexpensive, and the E2100 in particular
is good enough for most business users.. so why pay
more?
