Samsung C6620 (GT-C6620) Preview
Discontinued
29th October 2008
We are still struggling to understand
Samsung's new naming convention, and the Samsung GT-C6620
doesn't really make it much clearer.
The C6620 is a Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone
with support for HSDPA high-speed data. All the usual
features are present, such as Bluetooth, microSD expandable
memory and an MP3 player, plus the C6620 has a full
QWERTY keyboard.
The camera on the back is a low-end
2 megapixel affair, and as far as we can tell the C6620
has a fairly standard QVGA non-touch-sensitive display.
Despite the BlackBerry-style design,
the Samsung C6620 weighs only 109 grams and measures
113 x 63 x 12mm. Italian carrier TIM quote
the maximum talktime as 7 hours and up to 12 days standby
time, but don't say if that is on 3G or GSM.
It's not a particularly high-end device,
perhaps roughly comparable to the BlackBerry
Curve, but the pricing seems to be about €100 cheaper.
It is also a good deal less ugly than some earlier
efforts.
Thanks to msmobiles.com for the
heads
up.
