Sagem my800C

 Sagem my800C Expected Q2 2007
2nd May 2007 (Updated 30th June 2007)

A lightweight 3G phone, the Sagem my800C appears to come in two variants - a squared off version (see right) that looks cheekily like a RAZR and a more rounded version, shown below with Vodafone branding. (Note the Vodafone version is the Sagem my850v)

Coming in below the magic 100 gram barrier for a 3G handset, the 95 gram Sagem my800C is just 16mm thick and yet has a 240x320 pixel display in 262,000 colours, expandable memory (using microSD cards), a multimedia player with external media controls, stereo Bluetooth, plus a 2 megapixel primary camera and a secondary camera for video calls.

Both versions of the my800C appear to be quite glossy - Sagem say that the my800C has a "mirror effect vertical strip" on the outside. The Vodafone version appears to have a more uniform glossy finish similar to the Sony Ericsson Z610i.

Sagem my800C (Vodafone version) The Sagem my800C delivers pretty much what most people want from a 3G handset with a good feature set and very attractive looks. Yes, there may be sleeker phones than the my800C, and there are phones with a more feature-packed specification but this is a a good combination.

Let's not forget cost - Sagem have a reputation for making handsets that are very good value for money, and although no price has been confirmed for the my800C, we would expect that the phone will be very affordable.

Sagem say that the my800C should be available in certain regions from Q2 2007. There's no official word from Vodafone on the availability and name of their version of the my800C as yet.
