Orange SPV M700
Available
now (France) 20th December 2006
The Orange SPV M700 is Orange's take on the HTC
P3600 Windows smartphone.
It's a fairly compact 3G device with a large 2.8"
240x320 pixel display, 2 megapixel primary camera with
flash plus a secondary camera for video calling, WiFi,
Bluetooth and mini SD memory expansion to add to the
128Mb of internal memory. The SPV M700 supports EDGE
data as well as UMTS, GPRS and WiFi, but unlike some
recent HTC devices, the M700 does not support HSDPA.
At 150 grams the Orange SPV M700 isn't exactly lightweight
per se, but it's pretty impressive for a full-blown
PDA-style device.
The operating system is the well-known Windows Mobile
5.0 which comes with the usual bunch of applications.
There's no physical keyboard on the SPV M700 - it's
pen driven device, although we expect that you can add
a Bluetooth keyboard if you wish.
At the moment there's no word on availability except
for Orange France where the SPV M700 can be had for
€299 upwards when bought with a contract in black and
white variants.
