Orange SPV E200
Discontinued 4th November
2003
The
Orange SPV E200 is actually the third Orange smartphone
based on the Windows mobile platform, and the first
of the series to support Bluetooth. The SPV E200 also
comes with a built-in digital camera.
Measuring 120x50x24 mm and weighing 130 grams, the
SPV E200 is about the same as the rest in the class.
It comes with a large 176x220 pixel display in 65,000
colours.
It's a tri-band GSM phone supporting WAP over
GPRS. It also connects to a PC via Bluetooth, infra-red
or a USB cable. Because the SPV E200 runs Windows Mobile
2003, copying data between the phone and Microsoft Office
application is very simple. The SPV E200 supports standard
email protocols, SMS, MMS and can talk to MSN Messenger.
There's nothing much wrong with the SPV E200 in technical
terms, but it really does look like Orange missed the
boat in design terms, as the SPV E200 is really a little
dull, but still quite business-like in looks. It's a
shame really because this is a powerful and fairly expensive
handset, but it doesn't look it.
