A pair of Windows 8.1 smartphones at the bottom end of Microsoft's
Lumia range, the Microsoft Lumia 435 and 532 are fairly similar
in appearance although you might guess that they are a little different
underneath.
Both devices feature a 4" 480 x 800 pixel display and are therefore
very similar in size and weight (134 to 136 grams) and feature the
now-familiar brightly coloured plastic shells that we are used to.
Both devices are available in single-SIM or dual-SIM configurations.
The Lumia 435 features a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU with 1GB of RAM
and 8GB of flash storage plus a microSD slot. It has a 2 megapixel
primary camera and a 0.3 megapixel secondary one, along with a 1560
mAh battery inside and support for 3G networks, WiFi, Bluetooth
4.0 and it even features an FM radio.
A step up in the range, the Lumia 532 offers a faster 1.2GHz
quad-core CPU with a 5 megapixel primary camera, and all the other
specifications are essentially the same as the 435.
Microsoft say that the Lumia 435 will cost €69 before tax and
subsidy, the 532 will be a little more at €79. Both handsets will
start shipping in Europe, Asia and Africa markets from February
onwards.
