LG Optimus Net (LG P690)

 LG Optimus Net Available now
17th July 2011

The LG Optimus Net is an Android smartphone that sits near the bottom of LG's Optimus range when it comes to features.

Featuring a 3.2" 320 x 480 pixel display, a 3 megapixel camera and an 800 MHz CPU, the Optimus Net isn't a challenger for LG's high-end devices, but with a decent 512MB of internal memory and the latest version of Android, then the Optimus Net certainly looks like it could be useful.

It has the features of every other Android phone on the market, so there's GPS, WiFi and 3.5G support plus a good range of applications pre-installed and downloadable from the market. There is also an optional NFC variant of the Optimus Net if you are in to that sort of thing.

The Optimus Net is going to sell on cost rather than features, and we would expect it to retail for roughly the same as the HTC Wildfire S, which retails for about €250 including tax.

LG say that the Optimus Net should be available during the summer in Europe in black and white colour schemes.
