LTE is a feature that tends to go hand-in-hand with high-end
smartphones, but LG want to change that with the decidedly mid-range
LG F70.
The F70 features a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of onboard
storage plus a microSD slot, a 4.5" 480 x 800 pixel display,
5 megapixel primary camera plus a 0.3 megapixel video calling one,
all running Android 4.4 and with the usual array of Android features.
LTE of course means that download speeds will be very fast, but
the handset itself isn't. So it really depends on quite what you
want to do with LTE, and you can see (for example) that this
might make a natty mobile hotspot.
LG have enhanced with F70 with some custom interface improvements
including a Knock Code to unlock and it comes with a simpler home
screen aimed at first time smartphone users. There's a decent sized
2440 mAh battery inside, and really that's about it.
No guidance was given on price or availability, but we don't
expect that you'll have long to wait for this particular model.
