Billed as the world's first quad core 10 inch tablet, the Huawei
MediaPad 10FHD runs Android 4.0, and it comes in a stylishly
designed package that looks every bit as good as its better known
rivals.

Based on Huawei's own 1.5GHz quad core processor coupled with
2GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics processor, the MediaPad 10FHD
should be extremely versatile. The 10" 1900 x 1200 pixel display
can easily cope with HD video. One the back is an 8 megapixel camera
in case you want to use the MediaPad as an oversized snapper, and
rather more usefully there is a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front
for video calling.
Because this is an Android tablet, it does everything that every
other Android tablet will do, including browsing the web, accessing
email, running applications or playing back audio or video. The
MediaPad 10FHD is enhanced with Dolby Surrond Sound technology as
well.
Huawei say that the MediaPad 10FHD supports HSPA+ downloads of
up to 82 Mbps per second, it can also support LTE and presumably
all the other usual Android wireless connectivity options. The MediaPad
10FHD is just 8.8mm thick and weighs 598 grams.
This is a good looking and powerful device, but perhaps a little
too much like the iPad when it comes to styling. Huawei say that
the MediaPad 10FHD should be available from Q2 2012 in various markets
worldwide.
