Another outing for the "Desire" name, the strangely
capitalised HTC Desire 600 dual sim is an Android smartphone
with a 4.5" 540 x 960 pixel display and a quad-core 1.2GHz
processor, and as the name suggests it comes with two SIM slots.
It isn't the first dual-SIM device from HTC, but it is the most
powerful we've seen so far.

The
dual-SIM functionality is the main selling point of this device,
but it's a decent enough Android handset with an 8 megapixel
primary camera with 720p video capture capabilities, 1.6 megapixel
secondary camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal flash storage plus
a microSD slot, NFC support and all the usual Android features on
a device running Android "Jelly Bean" (presumably 4.1)
with HTC Sense and HTC Blink on the top. As with the HTC One, the
Desire 600 features front-facing speakers.
The Desire 600 dual sim takes two microSIM cards, but surprisingly
only supports tri-band GSM and dual-band 900 / 2100 MHz UMTS. Inside
is a 1860 mAh battery which is rather optimistically quoted as giving
up to 11 hours talktime and 24 days standby time. The Desire 600
measures 135 x 67 x 9.3mm and weighs 130 grams.
It's not a bad device in terms of specification and HTC say that
this should be an "affordable" smartphone. It should be
available in certain markets from June onwards, and although no
guidance was given on price we would expect it to retail for around
€350 SIM-free.
