Samsung Z300 (SGH-Z300)
Cancelled 15th February 2005
A
very close relative of the Z500, the Z300 comes with
pretty much the same feature set, plus stereo sound
output and enhanced graphics capabilities.
The SGH-Z300 is a 3G handset with tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900),
expandable memory using TransFlash (with 50Mb internal
memory as standard), Bluetooth, a one megapixel primary
camera, 176x220 pixel main display in 262,000 colours,
email client and basically all the same features that
are in the Z500, plus stereo loudspeakers.
It's a heavier than the Z500 at 110 grams and 89x47x26mm,
presumably this is mostly because of the speakers. Still,
this is pretty compact for a 3G phone and it squeezes
a lot of features into a small handset.
The launch date of this handset has not been announced
yet, and Samsung are notorious for long lead times and
cancellations, however we look forward to seeing the
Z300 when it arrives.
