Samsung E350 (SGH-E350)
Available
now 15th February 2005
Most handset launches at the moment are concentating
on phones squeezing in as many features as possible.
The SGH-E350 takes a different approach, coming in at
just 75 grams for a tiny sliding phone with a camera.
The Samsung E350's display is a 128x160 pixel TFT
unit in 65,000 colours. On the rear of the phone is
a VGA resolution camera with an integrated photo light.
Surprisingly the SGH-E350 supports MP3 playback,
but Samsung haven't specified the amount of internal
memory available and it certainly isn't expandable.
There's also a WAP browser, email client, video messaging
and MMS. There's Java support and polyphonic ringtones
too on top of tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) and GPRS.
It's a compact little thing, housed in a familiar
looking case. At 85x43x21mm it's not too tiny to use,
however the light weight is quite impressive.
Although this is a basic camera phone, the overall
package should appeal to those who want a lightweight
device with just a few added features. The SGH-E350's
anticipated release date is not known at present.
