Sagem my300X & my301X

handsets in our forum
Sagem have been fairly quiet of late
with no major releases. However, they have recently
started shipping these two handsets - the my300X (left) and
my301X (right).
Slim phones are the fashion at the moment,
and the my300X and my301X are just 14mm thick and weight
88 grams each.
These are pretty basic handsets though
- both the my300X and my301X have 128x128 pixel displays
in 65,000 colours, a WAP browser, Java and GPRS. The
my300X is a dual-band device, the my301X is tri-band
and also adds Bluetooth and syncML support. And apart
from a few minor features, that's pretty much it.
The my300X retails at just €130 (£80
approx) and the Bluetooth-capable my301X is €150 (£95
approx), and both handsets are available now.
Are we excited? Errr... no. Although
both handsets offer pretty good value for money and
a certainly a bit more stylish than many budget handsets,
we're still waiting for a phone to equal Sagem's impressive
myX-8
from a year ago. Indeed, we thought that 2005 looked
very promising for Sagem, but we've seen very little
of interest from them this year. Perhaps 2006 will see
them regain some of the creativity they showed us back
in 2004?
