Nokia Wireless Image Headset HS-13W

Bluetooth headsets are an often overlooked device.. except by people who use them. Most headsets are pretty basic, offering only limited control over the phone itself. Nokia's new HS-13W headset pushes back the boundaries of what's possible with it's own navigation key, 128x128 pixel colour display and neckstrap for ease of use.

In addition to being able to make calls, the HS-13W allows users to view pictures and edit text using the HS-13W's simplified text editor. Measuring 63x45x15mm and weighing 57 grams this is certainly a large headset, but it's much lighter than any handset available.

The HS-13W is compatible with many popular and upcoming Nokia handsets, including the 3650, 3660, 6230, 6260, 6310i, 6600, 6630, 6810, 6820, 7280, 7600, 7610, 8910i, 9500 Communicator and N-Gage series. We assume that it will also work with the 9300 and 7280 although we presume it does. This is a particularly good headset for users of large devices such as the Nokia 9500 because it brings so much functionality to the headset.

We feel that the HS-13W is not for everyone, but it shows a promising trend and is almost a complete phone in itself. Planned for availability in Q4 2004.
