Nokia 6700 Classic, 6303 Classic and 2700 Classic
Expected Q2 2009 29th January 2009

Nokia have announced three new phones inspired by
the classic Nokia
6300 - the Nokia
6700 Classic, 6303
Classic and 2700
Classic. They all share a similar design to
the original 6300, but improve on it in different ways.

It's worth remembering that Nokia are trying to replace
a phone that launched in 2006, but one that still remains
a best-selling handset, regularly topping the sales
charts for SIM-free and prepay phones. Two previous
upgrade attempts, the 6301
and 6300i
met with indifference from customers - so can Nokia
succeed here?
We will look at all three phones in greater detail
later, but a brief run-down of these three new phones
is as follows.
Nokia 6700 Classic: a 3.5G phone with a 5 megapixel
camera, quad band GSM and tri-band UMTS plus GPS and
Nokia maps, priced at around €235 before tax and subsidy.
Nokia 6303 Classic: A straight replacement for the
6300, this is a GSM only phone with a 3.2 megapixel
camera and much improved battery life, priced at about
€135 SIM-free before tax.
Nokia 2700 Classic: Probably one of the best value
handsets around, just €65 before tax will get you a
phone with a 2 megapixel camera, QVGA display, microSD
expandable memory, Bluetooth and a multimedia player.
Nokia say that all these devices should launch during
Q2 2009.
