LG
L343i
Available
soon 6th August 2006
The LG
L343i is a budget i-mode
phone, soon to be launched in the UK and in some other
markets.
Not to be confused with the similarly
named NEC
343i, this LG model is designed to give low-cost
access to i-mode features in a lightweight package.
Apart from the LG
L343i's i-mode capabilities,
the rest of the handset is reasonably basic with a 128x160
pixel TFT display, VGA resolution (0.3 megapixel digital
camera) plus Bluetooth. In all honesty, that's pretty
much everything the LG
L343i offers unless you
start scratching around to mention things like Java
and MMS support.
It's
quite a lightweight phone - the LG
L343i weighs just 86 grams
- but it's pretty much a standard clamshell device when
it comes to size. It's also a fairly smart looking phone,
with an understated "squared off" design.
One of the advantages of i-mode is that
it works well even on pretty basic phones, so the LG
L343i looks attractive
if you're in the market for a lightweight and inexpensive
i-mode handset. If i-mode doesn't interest you, then
the LG L343i
is best avoided.
The LG
L343i's launch date is
not known at present, but is anticipated to be late
summer 2006.
