Another preview from LG, this time the
LG GM730 - a Windows smartphone that uses the
LG 3G S-Class interface. LG say that they will give
full details at some future date, but their own site
has leaked
most of the important technical specifications.
The GM730 has a 5 megapixel camera with
Schneider Kreuznach optics, GPS support, WiFi and a
400 x 240 pixel resolution 3.0" touchscreen display.
The operating system is Windows Mobile Professional
6.1, plus the S-Class interface on top. And the LG GM730
measures 110 x 57 x 12mm.
LG's motivation for slapping the S-Class
interface on top of Windows is that it makes it easier
to use. Well, perhaps.. but since almost every manufacturer
is doing this at the moment, it means that you have
to re-learn the add-on interface if you change brands.
