LG say that they will announce full
details of the LG ARENA KM900 next week, so at
the moment we have very little to tell you about this
new touchscreen phone.
We do know that it's a 3G device with
HSDPA and WiFi support, it can play back DivX movies
and has Dolby 2.0 stereo.
The
user interface is a 3D affair, based on a "rotating
cube" model. We're not sure exactly what the operating
system is, except LG refer to it as their "S-Class"
interface. A bit of wrangling with the photo from the
press release shows a simply laid out main screen which
is perhaps slightly reminiscent of the iPhone.
LG say that the ARENA will be their
flagship device, so that would mean that it is an upgrade
to the impressive LG
Renoir. That's actually a tough act to follow -
the Renoir already has just about every feature that
you can think of.. so what else is in the ARENA? A 10
or 12 megapixel camera? A time machine? A button to
fix the world economy? Our bet is that there is definitely
something interesting going on in the camera department
of this phone, as LG very carefully have not shown us
the back of the device.
Full details should be known next week,
until then we can only speculate as to what exactly
is behind the attractive face of the LG ARENA.
