T-Mobile Germany have accidentally let slip details
on the new BlackBerry Curve 8900, a slightly cut-down
GSM-only version of the BlackBerry Bold 9000.
According to T-Mobile, the Curve 8900 has both WiFi
and GPS, comes with a 480 x 360 pixel display (a higher
pixel count than the 9000), Bluetooth and some unspecified
type of digital camera.
The large 1400 mAh battery is quoted as giving
a surprisingly short 4 hours talktime and 16 days standby
time. Although this isn't a 3G phone, it does support
EDGE data in addition to GPRS and local WLAN connections.
If you're using it for email, then the lack of 3G won't
be a real problem.
We don't know if this is a T-Mobile exclusive or
not, but it should be available from next month in Germany.
Unfortunately, the content now appears to have been
removed from
the T-Mobile site, and of course all of these specifications
need to be officially confirmed.
